In the geological structure of the basin of the Prut river there are units of orogen and units of platform.
The crystalline foundation in the north is at depth of a few hundreds, but in the south at depth of 4500 m. The sedimentary
blanket is differently formed of Paleozoic rocks – Neozoic. |
