The study focuses on the intersection between technological innovations in Industry 4.0 and the increasingly stringent sustainability requirements imposed by international laws and targets such as Agenda 2030. In a global context characterised by increasing automation and interconnection of industrial processes, agriculture is becoming a vital sector that needs to adapt to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible production. By reviewing existing studies on the link between Industry 4.0 innovations and sustainability in agriculture, our objective is to identify best practices, successful models and possible solutions to maximise the benefits of the technology while minimising the negative impact on the environment and society. This approach aims to contribute to the development of viable strategies and policies, promoting the sustainable adoption of 4.0 technologies in the agricultural sector. Through this research, we aim to facilitate a transition to Agriculture 4.0 that is not only economically efficient, but also aligns with growing global environmental and social standards, and by identifying sustainable practices and successful models will serve as a basis for developing policies and strategies that encourage the responsible adoption of 4.0 technologies in agriculture, thus contributing to building a sustainable agricultural system adapted to today's global challenges. |
