This paper elucidates a number of cost-related issues regarding the national security prospects. The aim of the research is to carry out a comparative study on assessing the degree of involvement of innovations and their impact on the freedom, security and profitability of ICTs in some EU and Eurasian countries in relation to the Republic of Moldova. The authors assessed the potential of the states, comparing a series of variables and qualitative values, using the empirical data obtained as a result of the investigation of experts in various fields. Researchers believe that today the danger is generated by political, economic and social processes, which influence the weak national economies. In an attempt to achieve the proposed objectives, the authors investigate multiple blocks of issues in coordination with some strategic directions and aim to assess the degree of capitalization of national resources. The researchers’ conclusions include some estimates that unilateral measures do not produce the desired result and may entail a deterioration in the country’s economic situation, limitation of freedom for citizens and society, and freedom of action in the country’s business environment. |
