The author refers to the sociolinguist’s state of acad. Silviu Berejan, who studied the relations of language, society and culture in the 90s of the twentieth century .The objective of his journalistic articles, dissertations, interviews and official statements has been the Romanian literary language’s unity demonstrated by classical and contemporary writers on both banks of the Prut and its clear difference compared to the usual speech. Related to his demonstration, passages of the works of Cantemir, Neculce, Eminescu, Costin, Negruzzi, Dosoftei, Mateevici, Druta, Vieru, Constantin Stere are cited. It should be noted that the main cause of the substantial deterioration of the situation of an indigenous language subordinated to the Imperial Russian language is seen in how is interpretated the ”regional nature of the local realities (specifically Bessarabian)” from the anti-Romanian positions.
