Rezumat

In this article, the silence regarding the impact of emotional intelligence on the level of organizational stress felt by managers in the public and private sectors has been translated. For this purpose, we carried out a quantitative study that allowed us to obtain relevant results in order to identify the link between emotional intelligence and the level of organizational stress. Likewise, we set out to com-pare the level of stress in managers who are part of the private environment with those in the public environment. Finally, we determined that private sector employees are more stressed than those in the pu-blic sector, but this difference is insignificant. The study carried out allowed us to realize the difference in the level of emotional intelligence held by managers representing the public sector and those from the pri-vate sector. The obtained data tell us about the fact that managers in the public sector are more emotio-nally intelligent than those in the private sector, but as in the previous case, this difference is insignificant. From an applied perspective, a contribution of the research consists in the fact that it offers a training program for the development of personal skills. The rationale of the program is to train/improve the capacity for self-discovery and self-knowledge, to reduce tension caused by organizational stress, depression, anger, to identify and recognize emotions in those around you, and to learn strategies for managing emotions and directing them towards solving problems and achieving the proposed goals.
