The biggest problem for farmers in the cereals and oilseeds sector is the low competitiveness of the products, which makes it much more difficult to market them in the conditions of pronounced competition. Outdated and extensive technologies, fierce competition from the Black Sea basin, high costs of means of production for agriculture in the Republic of Moldova, expensive credits and existing regional crises have major effects on the sector and domestic products, as they are much more expensive also due to low harvests, such as and inefficient management of agricultural holdings especially in the case of micro, small and medium farmers. The modernization of agriculture, technologies and tillage systems, innovations and digitization must be urgently needed to create sustainable premises for the development of agricultural holdings. |
