Les textes du domaine de l’industrie alimentaire représentent des documents portant des informations spécialisées importantes, étant en même temps profondément marqués du point de vue culturel. Ils contribuent à l’établissement des normes et des standards, à l’élucidation des réalités de différentes sociétés, mais aussi à la transmission des valeurs par l’intermédiaire des produits alimentaires. L’outil fondamental dans le partage et la transmission de ces documents est la traduction. La traduction de ces types de textes se manifeste tant comme une activité interlinguistique, qu’une activité interculturelle. Le domaine de l’industrie alimentaire met en évidence, par multiples exemples, l’existence d’une relation étroite entre traduction et culture. Au centre d’attention de cette approche culturelle de la traduction se trouve le phénomène d’équivalence. Souvent, le processus de traduction est influencé par diverses pratiques et normes sociales, par différentes institutions, politiques et identités nationales. Cependant, le texte traduit comme le texte original doit présenter le même produit sémiotique, qui fonctionne dans un certain espace socioculturel. Ainsi, la traduction se manifeste comme une forme de médiation entre différentes cultures. L’objectif du présent article est la définition de la notion polyvalente de culture, l’étude de l’interdépendance entre la culture et la traduction des textes de l’industrie alimentaire, de l’influence de la culture sur ces types de textes, ainsi que de certaines difficultés de traduction culturelle. The texts in the field of Food Industry represent in themselves some documents carrying the important specialized information, being at the same time deeply marked from the cultural point of view. They contribute to the establishment of standards, to the elucidation of the realities of different societies, but also to the transmission of values through food. The fundamental tool in sharing and transmitting them is translation. The translation of these types of texts manifests itself not only as an interlinguistic activity, but also as an intercultural one. Given the fact that language and culture are in close relationship of interdependence, language has the function of transmitting culture, being in turn marked by it. The phenomenon of translation equivalence focuses on the cultural approach of it. Often the translation process is influenced by various social practices and norms, by different institutions, policies and national identities. However, the text translated like the original one must present the same semiotic product, which operates within a certain socio-cultural space. Thus, translation manifests itself as a form of mediation between different cultures. Therefore, our main concern is the definition of the polyvalent notion of culture, the establishment of the interdependence between culture and the translation of texts in Food Industry, the influence of culture on these types of texts as well as cultural translation difficulties.
