Rezumat

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of mineral fertilizers in rugged relief on water metabolism and drought resistance of maize, which is important for the development of a method for optimizing the productivity. Maize plants growing on the western slope characterized by stable turgor and high water-holding capacity, that is more drought-resistant plants, which positively refl ected of the potential productivity of the studied hybrids. On the eastern slope and watershed plateau to optimize productivity manifestations were the same optimal dose of phosphorus and potassium, but the higher dose of nitrogen.
