The text signifies the expression of the concept of the temporal crisis of the school being in a triple opposition: (1) against tradition, (2) against the modernism of the bourgeois civilization (with its ideals of rationality, utility, progress) and (3) against itself to the extent that school perceives itself as a new tradition or as a form of authority. However, the analytical incursions into the basis of the school have a cultural and cognizable framework, determined by the conditions of their application within the practice of its people. Therefore, the conceptual expression visualizes the time orientation of the historical practice – the traditional one, as standard practice, and the orientation of present time practice – the modern one, seen as a practice of change; these two directions begin exclusively from the traditional practice of the teachers and of the school management. |
