Information and communication technology has become an integral part of the educational system around the world. The use of ICT tools in the teaching activity adds value to the teaching act, increasing the students' interactivity and leaving them the impression that "they are playing on the computer/ phone". The methods promoted and used until the pandemic year were useful, but what happened during the pandemic was truly revolutionary for the teaching system that had never faced such a thing before. Teachers from all over the world collaborated, they learned in a short time to use learning platforms that they had never encountered before. They used any means of online communication to reach students, thus transforming them into teachers, social networks, games that were familiar to students.

Tehnologia informației și a comunicării a devenit o parte integrantă a sistemului educațional din întrega lume. Utilizarea instrumentelor TIC în activitatea didactică aduce plus valoare actului didactic, sporind interactivitatea elevilor și lăsându-le impresia că „se joacă pe calculator/ telefon”. Metodele promovate și utilizate până în anul pandemic au fost folositoare, dar ceea ce s-a întâmplat în timpul pandemiei a fost de-a dreptul revoluționar pentru sistemul de predare, care nu se mai înfruntase cu așa ceva până în acel moment. Profesori din toată lumea au colaborat, au învățat într-un timp scurt să utilizeze platforme de învățare pe care nu le mai întâlniseră până în momentul respectiv. S-au folosit de orice mijloc de comunicare online pentru a ajunge la elevi, transformându-le astfel în mijloace didactice, de rețelele de socializare, de jocurile cu care erau școlarii familiarizați.
