In this article we will briefly present the staged historical course of intercultural education in order to form the intercultural competence of high school students. Currently, in Romania, intercultural education is a subject of study in the sixth grade, one hour a week in the common core, according to the Order of the Minister of Education in 2016, but its evolution has been an imperative for all political decision makers worldwide. Based on the above, we consider that there is no universally valid "recipe" in the formation of intercultural competence of students. This is closely in line with heredity, education and the environment - as determinants of personality, and the teacher, who is in a permanent vocational training, must masterfully combine non-formal, formal activities and elements of the informal environment, seconded by family. |
