Rezumat | ||||||
Re-read, not just looked through, the ancient texts whose pulse is still alive should be brought into light. They are a mural not only of events, but of the pace of living, of the sensitivity of time itself. The man/the writer/the reader (from yesterday as well as that of today) asks questions and seeks answers. The one who is called to listen or to decipher the meaning of the text is offered alternative models of knowledge/decryption/modeling of the self through faith, love, wisdom. An aim to discover the mysteries of the world, including the inner, is also targeted by the imaginary “quarrel” (= dispute), in Platonic way, between the Wiseman and the world from Cantemir’s The Divan, a show of intelligence, focusing on knowledge and civilizing, a meeting, in fact, with world greatest books, seen through the mirror revealing an intertextual dialogue. A look in the world mirror means questioning its values and re-bringing into discussion its own values. The old books lead us to that. These are books that make us complete. |
