Rezumat

As a result of investigations on algal periphyton communities in the lower reach of the Ichel river it were found 178 species and varieties of algae belonging to 6 filum. From the total number of highlighted species, 94 are indicators of the level of water pollution caused by the dissolved organic substances. Betamezosaprob is the largest group with 44 species and varieties of algae. Saprobic index values calculated on the indicator species, varied during the year between 2,14 and 2,54, which characterizes the water from the Ichel river as moderately polluted.
