The EU LEADER approach / Community-led Local Development has been one of the most efficient instruments of the EU rural development policy, as a successful concept of local development owned and run by the citizens. The approach serves as a tool to strengthen local autonomy and build local capacities as well as to use local resources for development, what as a result empowers local people. LEADER approach in Moldova has been implemented starting from 2016, as a result in the end of 2018 almost 30% of the rural territory in Moldova was covered by LEADER initiative. |
