Children need more than the ability to be batter observers; they most know how to apply everything they already know and feel, to evaluate their own thinking, and, especially, to change their behavior as a result of thinking critically. Thinking critically can be defined as rationally deciding what to do or believe. Being critical thinker of course implies assessing the views of others and one’s own views according to acceptable standards of appraisal. Critical thinking become now a necessity, especially it can be archived more easily in the context of child centered education. Critical thinking is not just another educational opinion. Rather it is an indispensable part of education, being able to think critically is a necessary condition for being educated. |
