Rezumat

Groundwater is the source of drinking water for nearly half the population. In decentralized sources of water for consumption in the country about 60% of the sources do not meet after the nitrate content. Excess nitrates resulting from mineralization in each year of 1-2% of organic nitrogen in the soil and enter the groundwater. It exist a study which examined the content of nitrate in ground water in correlation with physical indexes. In this study is evaluated some cumulative consequences to groundwater pollution by nitrates under chemical indices concentration in water. It was evidenced that the correlation coefficient between the nitrates and various chemical components content of Natural Hydrological Monuments waters is insignificant, but in springs water are showing a correlation from small (<1 CMA NO3 -) to medium (> 1 MAC NO3 -) with hardness, concentration of Ca2+, Mg2+ and mineralization of water, and in water from wells with mentioned indexes correlation coefficient is high, including Cl-, SO4 2- ions and some heavy metals
