Article presents a bibliometric analysis of social inequality research published in the Republic of Moldova during 2000–2017, based on National Bibliometric Instrument. The main results were as follows: there had been a notable growth trend in publication outputs in the Republic of Moldova. Journal of Philosophy, Sociology and Political Science was the most active journal. Social stratification and social structure were top popular research topics. The Legal and Political Research Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova was the most productive institute for the total articles. However, the number publications and the extent of international and national collaborations were lower than expected given the huge burden of social inequality problems. |
