In the present paper, I argue that the examination of phenomenological description as description can throw light upon certain aspects of phenomenology as a practice. A description presupposes the intuitive presence of the thing described and an adequate expression of the intuited and the meant. At the same time, the phenomenological description is usually done for the sake of the Other, clarifying for her a conceptual distinction, although creating a descriptive text can help the author himself focus on certain aspects of the described object. A description should not be perceived as having value „once and for all”, but open towards revision based on new evidences.
