Rezumat

Translating literature of a country is the duty of this country and those who love it and appreciate its cultural values. This cultural transposition is extremely delicate and extremely important for the image of every nation. The quality depends on foreign concept about cultural capabilities of this nation. Consequently, literary translation should be entrusted only to specialists not only in language knowledge but also in target literature that we will translate. Unfortunately, in the case of Romanian literature, these conditions were rarely met. There was a school of translation from Romanian into other European languages at least. The result is that translations were generally made by Romanian, with all the disadvantages of this solution, as sometimes deficient knowledge of the target language and translations difficult to integrate into the target culture. Eminescu's example is illustrative and catastrophic. All translations of Romanian translators proved to be not only unable to give a correct idea of his poetry but delayed his perception in other countries. If we read his transposition into French, his image for instance, will be these of a writer almost illiterate who can not raise at all French public interest. It is very difficult to enforce, as such attempts failed, a readable translation in a country where the poetry is no longer marketable. Our effort is then to try to produce quality translations for this purpose to create schools, centers, institutes translation able to train future translators quality.
