Rezumat

The visibility of research and development is a multidimensional concept, increasingly current especially in the context of the transition to Open Science. Visibility can be disaggregated on several levels researcher, publication, magazine. At each of these levels there are ways and tools to ensure and increase visibility. Thus, the author's visibility can be ensured by creating the profile in various academic social networks (eg Academy, ResearchGate, Mendeley, etc.), adopting and using unique identifiers (eg ORCID), maintaining a personal page on the institution's website or a blog. The visibility of publications can be increased by persistently identifying them (using DOI), storing them in institutional repositories or in preprint archives. The visibility of journals is mainly ensured by the availability of their content in the online environment, in various types of systems, including bibliographic databases or digital libraries. Namely the academic search engines and bibliographic databases (ASEBD) are currently the standard destination, where up-to-date scientific publications are accessed. In this context, it is essential to remember that any type of digital content, including scientific content, has two types of target audience: on the one hand, users looking for relevant information, and on the other hand - search engines. That Communication aims to present opportunities to ensure and increase the visibility of scientific work at various levels and relevant tools.
