The anthem, the flag, the coat of arms and the seal represent the identity symbols of a state, expressing its sovereignty, independence, territoriality, history and culture. Not only every country, but also every political regime had its panoply of symbols, meant to justify, confirm and preserve its power. Throughout history we will witness not only a change of regimes, which, most of the time, were bloody, with many human sacrifices, but also a real war of their symbols. In the case of national anthems, we note that they reflect, in their lyrics and tradition, the struggle for independence of the people, the struggle for sovereignty.
