The research focuses on the issue of cultural differences perceived by two groups, one Moldovan and one Italian and focuses on group representation, stimulated by a series of questions and aimed at possible stereotypes and intercultural misunderstandings. Thus, in addition to surprising the presence of cultural differences, despite the apparent cultural closeness between Moldovans and Italians and clarifying whether these differences can lead to uncomfortable situations and value judgments, we will try to understand whether and how mutual stereotypical images are constructed and the possible reasons for the misunderstandings that the interviewees choose to relate. We will highlight the cultural nature outlined by the mental representations an individual has about his own group and about other groups, and then, the extent to which these images are socially shared, explained and enriched by a framing in theories of stereotypes and cultural differences.
