The present study proposes an approach to the novels The Girl Who Plays God by Dan Lungu and Kinderland by Liliana Corobca in terms of transitology. The phenomenon of migration as an adverse effect of the post-communist transition is discussed. The author focuses on the drama of children left alone or in the care of relatives, their parents being forced to go to work abroad, in order to ensure a decent living for the family. |
