Rezumat

In the paper are analyzed the concepts of scientiﬁc culture and scientiﬁ c communication. The article presents the opinions regarding related terms: scientiﬁc literacy and scientiﬁc culture. It is revealed an increasing role of scientiﬁc communication for the society’s scientiﬁc culture. Within a democratic society where science must be answerable to the public, there is a real need to ﬁnd new and innovative ways of more effective mass communication about the beneﬁts of science, but also about areas of concern to the general public.
