Currently, thecorrect assessment of the strategic and financial capabilities of the organization, taking into account external changes, is an important component for the implementation of effective management of the organization. THE PURPOSE. The organization's activities are often associated with competition, namely, the search for optimal strategies to achieve the most effective result. METHODS. The identification and formation of competitive advantages allows the company to take a certain place in the investment market and carry out activities with the greatest economic benefit. In this paper, a theoretical and practical study is conducted to study the main types of competitive advantages of an organization. The object of research in this paper is JSC "Bashkir Electric Grid Company". In order to improve operational efficiency, BESK implements several multi-year programs, including: energy saving and energy efficiency improvement, complex reconstruction of distribution networks with the introduction of Smart Grid technologies, automation of business processes using information technologies and ERP systems, optimization of operational and technological management of Bashkirenergo LLC. RESULTS. Summing up, it should be noted that the more an organization has competitive advantages over other potential enterprises, the higher its competitiveness, efficiency and status in the market environment.
