Încă din Grecia Antică, de-a lungul întregii istorii a teatrului, tehnicile actoriceşti au evoluat, s-a extins diversitatea şi componentele lor, s-au schimbat sarcinile de lucru. Odată cu apariţia teatrului regizoral la începutul secolului trecut, a început şi o nouă rundă în dezvoltarea tehnicilor actoriceşti. Acestea s-au perfecţionat în funcţie de perioada istorică, de tipul teatrului, de accentul estetic, de modul existenţei scenice a actorului. Mai mulţi militanţi din lumea teatrului şi-au croit propriile căi către transcendentalitatea lor: K. Stanislavski, V. Meyerhold, M. Cehov, L. Strasberg, S. Adler, A. Bogart şi alţii

Since Ancient Greece, the acting techniques have evolved throughout the history of the theatre, the diversity and components have expanded, the working tasks have changed. With the advent of the directoral theatre at the beginning of last century a new round of developing acting techniques has begun. They have been perfected according to the historical period, the type of theatre, the aesthetic accent, the model of the actor’s stage existence. Diff erent fi gures from the theatre world have made their own paths to their transcendentality: K. Stanislavsky, V. Meyerhold, M. Chekhov, L. Strasberg, S. Adler, A. Bogart and others.
