The article examines some aspects of the Republic of Moldova national interest under the conditions of EU extension. Given the fact that Moldova has already beco- me an EU neighbor, its national interest has got new facts of meaning. This refers to both the place of the state in the European context and the awareness of this place by its political class. At the same time the conduct of natioal interest holders has under- gone great changes and new efforts have been put in to promote this interest acording to the EU integration requirements.
