Under the conditions imposed by the knowledge society, to start a strategy with real success stories in product and service innovation, the need for firms to participate in networks, alliances, and collaborations has become increasingly clear in order to reduce the higher costs of technological transfer. There are different types of RDI agreements that companies can make directly with R & D institutes, universities, other organizations, public-private partnerships that may be different in nature depending on the financial contribution of each party, type of protection assumed, etc. In the last decades, business clusters have been seen as a strategic tool that allows companies to compete internationally. The concept of a cluster has a long history, which has been awarded several names: "competitiveness pole", "industrial agglomeration", "industrial district", etc. |
