Postmodernism in education designates a new approach of the activity of personality formation-development, placing the human being at the center of concerns from a global, totalizing and integrating perspective. According to the goal set by postmodernism, the school has the task to develop humanity in man, to bestow upon the student with not only intelectual, but multiple educational values. Postmodernist education is an education which values a new educational model: the model not of the best performance, but of the most different performance. In this way, to operate with pragmatic evidence means to search and discover the most relevant example, to seek the paradox and to legitimize it through new rules of learning. Postmodernist education emphasizes the practical character of learning, which promotes the interaction of the learner with the learning situation itself. |
