Rezumat

In view of current societal challenges, we mention the importance of studying the relationships of psychosocial adaptation with other psychic phenomena such as: emotional stability, self-confidence, emotional intelligence, place of subjective control, self-affirmation, motivation for success, optimism, sociability, self-esteem, independence, the will. In this paper we present the relationship between psychosocial adaptation and the will of adolescents. Psychosocial adaptation is defined as the result of the interaction between the individual and the social environment, which leads to the optimal relationship between the goals and values of an individual and group. In the process of psychosocial adaptation, the individual tends to achieve a harmony between living conditions and internal / external activity. In the literature many authors indicate that the will is one of the highest levels of psychic regulation, the most recent, synthetic, complex, but also the most fragile. Studies were conducted to determine if the place of will in the personality structure are important. The development of appropriate will and skills are basic components for increasing autonomy and independence in carrying out various activities in daily life; basic condition in the personal degree of preparation for society.
