The goals of education of values in the formal educational system in Moldova revolve around the acquisition of knowledge and understanding of the orientation of own values  towards the values of others and the significance of values in everyday life. The fundamental values of humanity: Life, Truth, Good, Fair, Sacred, Justice, Freedom, etc., are all examined in all subjects in the school. The same situation is with human values: Terra, Home, Family, Work, Knowledge, Culture, Peace, Man. National values, being projections of the conscience on human values represent the attitude towards the customs, habits, traditions, visions, cultural and intercultural communication sources, the genetic code of specific languages, spirituality of people etc. Personal values are part of every individual, family, national community and life, learned and developed through social education.The mission of Civic Education is to strengthen the discipline of values orientation of each student through skills training. In this context, cultural competence development is one of the objectives of a school teacher. The mission of the subject "Civic Education" takes on new formative meanings today, because of the possibilities and modalities of cultural competence training, which are necessary to a young citizen. This study undertakes an analysis of the theme, content and the formation of attitudes on cultural values contained in the Curriculum "Civic Education" for school text booksand "Civic Education" for forms X-XII, written by the authors in Moldova and edited during the years 2010-2014.
