Within contemporary philosophical discourses, interpretation is related to human ontology, logic and methodology, modern language theory, rhetoric, poetics, stylistics. Interpretation has precise limits - the interpreter is only a mediator of expression, not a referee of meaning. One of the important tasks of interpretation is the explanation, thus, "to explain means to make known, to make clear". |
