Rezumat

The micro- and macroeconomic growth is determined by the evolution of long-term investments. Gross Domestic Product is one of the basic indicators of all economic statistics that can appreciate the economic development of country, financial situation, as well as, competition in a country or region. GDP is a monetary measure of goods and services produced by an economy or region over a specified period of time. Investments can influence directly the volume of goods and services produces by region. We have here presented the results of research on long-term investments and its development for the period 2005 - 2016 for five regions of Republic of Moldova and the prognosis of its evolution for the next 3 years. The authors also carried out an analysis of the composition of the Gross Domestic Product for the period 2013-2015. In order to identify the trend of investment evolution, the authors applied the method of regression and correlation. The result of the research - the multiplicative model of forecasting the evolution of the value of investments in long-term assets - is a practical tool for improving the long-term and medium-term strategic planning methods at regional level in the Republic of Moldova.
