This article is devoted to the role of motivation in the process of teaching reading in the English language. The author makes her theoretical research by presenting different conceptions connected to motivation. She offers a detailed analysis of instructional strategies in the classroom to create a dynamic environment where students become better readers.

Prezentul articol este consacrat rolului motivaţiei în procesul de predare a lecturii în limba engleză. Autorul face o incursiune teoretică prezentând diferite concepţii cu privire la motivaţie. Ea propune o analiză detaliată a strategiilor de instruire în sala de studii pentru a creea o atmosferă dinamică îndemnând studenţii să devină cititori mai buni.
