After at least two decades with a below replacement fertility level, some theories support a reversal of decline, while others see a "low fertility trap". In this article, we analyze a fertility measurement model that has been labeled as the total fertility rate over the life cycle. In addition, the correlation between fertility increase and human development improvement (HDI) is not positive in the studied countries, but the Baltic countries, in recent years, assume a positive start in the influence of human development on fertility. A high degree of fertility heterogeneity in changing reproductive behavior is determined by the different postponement rate of births. Estonia and Lithuania have already higher fertility in older ages of women - 29-49 years, while an earlier fertility model characterizes the Republic of Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. |
