Variety Florina is of French origin. This variety was introduced in the Republic of Moldova. Florina is homologated in Moldova. It has a productivity of 35-40 t/ha and more. Florina is kept 170-200 days. The variety is immune from scurf and resists at mildew. The variant control was the variety Idared. The experienced apples were kept in the refrigerators with a normal atmosphere: the temperature 0-0,5°C and a relative air humidity of 88-92 %, the gaseous atmosphere in the warehouse is 0,03 % CO2 and 20,8 % O2 (the variant control for the method of keeping), and in the modified gaseous medium: 00,5°C, 92-95 % the relative air humidity and the gaseous atmosphere in the warehouse is 46 % CO2, 7-8 % O2. As a conclusion it can be decided that no matter the supplementary costs for keeping the apples by the method of modified gaseous medium, the economic efficiency is greater in comparison with keeping the apples in the refrigerators with a normal atmosphere that increases the profitableness of the fruit-growing branch.
