The individual, culture and society are inseparable components that form a socio-cultural trinity. From the ancient period of history the cultural factors played an important role in the creation and development of public institutions. The private and public spheres had a great impact on the formation and evolution of the prototypes of the modern corporation, such as guilds and trades, boroughs and religious brotherhoods. Corporation is a kind of mediator between the individual and the society, between private and public life. During the ancient and medieval times both spheres developed closely to each other, and the barrier between them was very fragile. The private life was synonym to the family life, where relations were characterized by intimacy and subjectivity, while the public sphere was rationale and objective. People there became citizens, workers, clients and students, and they felt the need to be protected. The individual could be easily driven away from the public life. That is why people made efforts to be part of a corporation that was able to protect and secure its members.
