Rezumat | ||||||
Our communication aims at a synthetic presentation of the didactic realities involved in learning a foreign language. This means discovering new linguistic realities, opening the mind and soul to other cultures and civilisations, exploring a plurality of communicative contexts that can constitute new universes of knowledge and of the improvement of the ability to exist and function effectively in the most diverse sociolinguistic and sociocultural communities. When we learn a foreign language, we adapt to different linguistic realities which can be marked in pronunciation, lexicon, topics, writing and literacy systems. Contact with these new linguistic realities can enrich the individual’s openness to new norms of social functioning, to the discovery of new knowledge from different cultures, new customs, cultural influences, linguistic and cultural identities. |
