The reconfiguration of the polarity of the international relations system
after the end of the Cold War proves to be a multidimensional process, which
was tackled in several works and global scenarios proposed by different scien-
tific schools, opinion leaders and representatives of various cultures and re-
ligions. Even if the opportunity to identify more constructive and less violent
forms of interaction among international actors is expressed, many models
bear the imprint of the conflicting logic between poles. The fact is that polarity
remains the basic problem of the world order reconfiguration and of the inter-
national relations system structure in full development, the pole being tackled
both geopolitically and more broadly, including geoeconomic, geocultural and
georeligious milestones, as well as of other kind and origin, which is called by
neo-Marxist and structuralist theories the center and the periphery.
