The article analyzes the empirical data of the study on cultural values of Moldovan students. The Schwartz questionnaire was used in studying the cultural values on a sample of 200 students aged 19–25 years from universities in Chisinau. The study period was March–June, 2019. The best preferred cultural values among Moldovan youth are the ones that are included in the Affiliation (Conservatism), Craftsmanship, Harmony, Intellectual Autonomy blocks. The least preferred values among Moldovan youth are included in the Hierarchy block. The largest scatter of points was revealed in the relation to the “Power” value. Five factors of values were distinguished: the first – “Prototypical personality”; the second – “Cultural Crossroads”; the third – “Leadership”, the fourth – “Harmony with oneself and the world”; the fifth –“Cultural identity”. The results of the study of the sphere of values of young Moldovans indicate its desire for subjectivity in the society.
