Rezumat

Bastioned fortresses are built on the territory of Moldova beginning with the XVII-th till the end of the XVIII-th century. Among bastioned fortifi cations those who have a nearly regular plane are distinguished: quadrilateral (Zamca, Chisinau, Chilia, Palanca) and in the form of a star (Soroca, Reni), as well as those of irregular plane (Bender, Hotin, Cetatea Alba, Ismail). Among chief-constructors are: turkey engineer Mehmed Tahir, French engineer Kauffer, german engineers Riehter and Kahlenberg, Russian engineers Forster and Harting and others.
