Rezumat

Variability, uncertainty, multiplicity in a transitional society are associated with a change in the worldview. The aim of our research was to study the perception by representatives of ethnic groups of the sociocultural changes taking place in a transitional society. In our study, we proceeded from the fact that sociocultural changes taking place in society will affect the identity of representatives of ethnic groups, and their perception of time perspective, present, beliefs, collective memory. The sample was composed of 192 resondents. (2016) (age: 25-57 years). Research regions: Chisinau; ATU Gagauzia – Comrat, Kirsovo village; Taraclia district – Tvarditsa village; Ryshkansky district – Malinovskoe village; Kagulsky district – Luchesti and Singerei villages. The results of the study: the empirical study of social axioms of different ethnic groups – Moldavians, Ukrainians, Russians, Bulgarians, Gagauz people – did not reveal statistically significant differences in the blocks between the groups. The indicator - of the block “Control of Fate” among the respondents of all studied ethnic respondents is getting higher values that the average one. This means that respondents, regardless of ethnicity, share beliefs that much in a person’s life is predetermined by fate, i.e. they are subjected to the idea of fatalism. The results of the study of the time perspective show that the respondents of ethnic groups – Moldavians, Gagauz people, Russians, Bulgarians, Ukrainians actually plan their future for a very short period – from 1 year to 5 years. The group of Moldavians (44%), Gagauz people (47%) have the least expressed positive attitudes to time in comparison with Ukrainians (50%), Bulgarians (70%), Russians (67%). We assume that this is due to their status features – Moldavians are a nation-forming ethnic group, and the Gagauz people are the majority group in the ATU Gagauzia, and they have a more critical attitude to the real socio-economic state of society. The study of sociocultural changes through the collective memory of ethnic groups revealed that one of the basic categories for all ethnic groups is the category “Family”. Following differences are revealed: the category “Traditions, customs, history of the people” is most pronounced in the groups of Bulgarians and Ukrainians; the category “Historical events” is most significant for the group of Russians whose central events are the holiday of May 9, the collapse of the USSR. The group of Moldavians in this category includes concepts – country, homeland. The difficulties of categorizing and reflecting sociocultural changes in society in the perception of the world among ethnic groups activate the categories of “close circle” – the family, kindred intergenerational solidarity. Understanding the peculiarities of the perception by representatives of different ethnic groups of sociocultural changes in society, represents the basis for self-awareness by the subject, both at the personal and group levels.
