This material reflects the history of the emergence and evolution of one of the oldest communities in the Prut-Nistru area of Hotin. In the first part of the article we refer to the existing data with reference to it throughout its existence from the 14th century until 1812, the annexation of this territory to the Russian Empire. Referring to the nineteenth century, we propose far more complete information, given the existence of more documentary sources. Thus we will address such issues as the number of parishioners in the Armenian Parish of Hotin, some data referring to church ministers, the work of the founders of this church, especially the Luseghenean family. Finally, the information about the situation of this community at the beginning of the 20th century will be presented.
