Rezumat

Among the Romanian magazines in Bessarabia, which emerged after the Russian revolution of 1905, there is also „Luminătorul” („The Enlightener”), a church newspaper, one of the most stable in this Romanian province. Founded in 1907, the magazine will appear until 1944, when it will be banned by the communist regime. After 1918, „Luminătorul” has been the most important church magazine, being the official body of the Diocese of Chisinau and Hotin. An important role in the publication of this magazine was played by its two directors: archimandrite Gurie Grosu and protopriest Constantin Popovici. Throughout the period of appearance, „Luminătorul” has fought for the confessional and national identity marks of the Bessarabians.
