Rezumat

The study reveals the vision of the university professor Anton Crihan (1893-1993), a well-known Bessarabian unionist fighter, member of the Country Council (1917- 1918), referring to the revolutionary events of Bessarabia in 1917-1918. The opinions of the remarkable Bessarabian patriot, Anton Crihan, derive from his speech at the „Free Europe” radio station in Munich, on March 27 and 28 1968, on the occasion of 50th anniversary from the Union of Bessarabia with Romania. There are presented important details and appreciations about the events that have prepared the union of the province with the Country, and a series of observations and conclusions that Anton Crihan has made as a direct participant at those events. Especially, there are emphasized political, military, social, cultural, etc. events and demonstrations, from 1917-1918, for which definition Anton Crihan uses the syntagm „the Revolution of Bessarabia”. A broad space is reserved for the analysis of the events launched by the revolutions in Russia, at the beginning of the 20th century (revolution from 1905- 1906, revolution from 1917-1918) and Anton Crihan’s personal involvement in organizing and guiding the Bessarabian soldiers from the Eastern Front in the Revolutionary and National Movement of Bessarabia. The study is completed in the annex with the Text of the speech, presented at Munich Radio „Free Europe” by Professor Anton Crihan, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Bessarabian Union with Romania Semicentenary (March 27 and 28, 1968), which was identified in the National Historical Central Archives (Bucharest), „Pantelimon Halippa” Fund, file 852 / 1924-1968, tabs 21-33 and in the Iasi County Directorate of the National Archives, „Vasile Harea” Fund, file 54, 13.
