The thiosemicarbazide and its derivatives form stable coordination compounds with almost all dmetals. Many of these substances possess biological activity. It was found that the biological properties of these complexes correlate with their structures. Therefore, the synthesis and study of the structural features of the new metal coordination compounds with thiosemicarbazide derivatives are of both scientific and practical interest. The aim of this work is the synthesis and the determination of structural features of catena-(μnitrato)[μ-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)-4-(prop-2-en-1-yl)thiosemicarbazide-S]silver AgLNO3 (I), where L is salicylaldehyde 4-allylthiosemicarbazone. The studied compound crystallizes in the hexagonal space group R3c (a = 30.3891(10), b = 30.3891(10), c = 9.2144(6) Å, = = 90, = 120, V = 7369.4(6) Å3). In the crystal the compound of I forms the polymeric chains along [001] direction where the metals are linked by organic ligand L via sulfur atoms (Fig. 1a). In the studied complex the coordination number of Ag atom is seven. It coordinates the four oxygen atoms of NO3-groups and one oxygen atom of L, belonging to adjacent polymeric chain (Fig. 1a, b). These atoms form the equatorial plane of the silver atom coordination polyhedron where Ag-O distances are in range from 2.701 to 3.134 Ǻ, while Ag-S bond length is equal to 2.454 Ǻ. The distance between the silver atoms in the polymer chain is equal to 3,674 Ǻ. |
