In the given article the general characteristics of political power in Republic of Moldova are identified and some excessive tendencies in exercising the political act by the authorities are highlighted. An important consideration is given to the analysis of the corruption as a generator factor, and at the same time as an effect of excess of power and of poverty. It is underlined that in Republic of Moldova corruption was in a continuous growth during the period of transition. Unfortunately this situation became a topic of political retribution exploited especially to obtain electoral capital, instead of determining the power to take concrete measures to control it. The article determined the ways and means to assure the discouragement and maximal stoppage of this scourge.
