In this article problems concerning the philosophy of technique are approached , which represent a form of applied theoretical philosophy, because in the XX-XXI century, the development of the technique, it`s place and it`s role in society, it`s importance for the future of human civilization becomes an object of systematic research. At the beginning it is made a brief overview in the development of the concepts of the philosophy technique from the XiX-XX century through the analysis of the works of E. Kapp, Al. Espinas, Fr. Dessauer, M. Heidegger, K. Jaspers, Ortega y Gasset and N. Berdiaeff. Moving on, the author refers to the subject of the philosophy of technology, which researches : firstly, the phenomenon of the technique in general, secondly, not only the intrinsic development, but also the place and role of the technique in the general social development, thirdly it is taken into consideration a comprehensive historical perspective. Also, her two objectives are clarified: the design of the technique, the clarification of it`s nature and it`s essence which was generated not only by such a technique, but also the entire contemporary „technical civilization”, the search within the philosophy technique of ways to solve a technique crisis, and it`s impact over the postmodern society. In the end it is noticed the fact that the concepts of philosophy technique will give the opportunity to clarify not only the essence of the technique as a social phenomenon, but also the understanding the place of the technique in the culture and in the social existence, using the historical and structural approach in the studies dedicated to the technique.
