Rezumat

Thiosemicarbazide derivatives are widely used in medicine to treat different types of diseases. All of them have a wide range of donor atoms to form with metal ions biologically active coordination compounds with various composition and properties. It has been established that in many cases the biological activity of medicaments is consistent with their ability to form complexes. Therefore the synthesis and structure determination of thiosemicarbazide derivatives and its coordination compounds are of both scientific and practical interest. The aim of this study was to investigate the structural features of ethanol solvate nitrate tris (4-alliltiosemikarbazid) chromium (III) by X-ray metod. The asymmetric unit cell contains chromium complex with three bidentate coordinated 4- allylthiosemicarbazide molecules. Outer sphere of the complex contains three nitrate ions and molecule of ethanol. The coordination polyhedron of the chromium atom is an octahedron, the bond lengths of the central atom with the donor atoms of the bidentate ligand Cr-S and Cr-N are pairwise equal to 2.339 (2), 2.096 (5); 2.343 (2), 2.094 (5); 2.338 (2), 2.106 (4) Ǻ respectively. Due to the outer-sphere nitrato groups and molecules of ethanol in the crystal the complexes are joined by an extended three-dimensional network of hydrogen bonds.
