It was found that some of copper coordination compounds with thiosemicarbazide derivatives possess of biological activity. It is known that the presence of different amines in the inner sphere of complexes affects on the biological properties of coordination compounds. Therefore, it is important to study the cooper coordination compounds containing the bidentate amines such as 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-Bpy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (1,10-Phen) in the inner sphere. The aim of this work is the determination of structural properties of hydrates of {N-prop-2-en-1-yl-N'-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)-ethylidene]carbamohydrazonothioato}-(2,2'-bipyridine)copper nitrate [Cu(2,2'-Bpy)L]NO3·H2O (I) and {N-prop-2-en-1-yl-N'-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]carbamo-hydrazonothioato}-(1,10-phenanthroline)copper nitrate [Cu(1,10-Phen)L]NO3·H2O (II). In both complexes the geometry of five-coordinated central atom is approximated by distorted square pyramid where the fifth position is occupied by one of nitrogen atoms of 2,2'-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline. |
